Bahaa Abdul Hadi is a visionary, Iraqi Canadian business Entrepreneur who has made a significant impact in the world of technology. Born in 1969 to a family of 6 brothers and 2 sisters and raised in Iraq, he showed an early interest in entrepreneurship.
Bahaa attended the University of Baghdad where he earned his degree in Architecture in the year 1991. He has consistently applied himself academically and has a profound desire to bring about change and innovation to the world with everything he does.
Entrepreneurial journey
On a mission to soul search Bahaa left Iraq in 1993, at the young age of 23, and migrated to Canada through Turkey and Europe. His relocation brought him to quickly understand the significance of technology at the time and recognized it its potential as a path to success for the betterment of Iraq.
One of his first major ventures in the business world was a voice over IT technology which laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey ahead. He then resolved to introduce this technology to Iraq, which would be the first of its kind in the country.
Revolutionizing the tech industry in Iraq
In 2009 he launched the company QI Card, serving as the Co-Founder, which would go on to revolutionize the tech industry in Iraq. It was structured as a technology solution in the Iraqi market issuing bio-metric identification cards for citizens and providing electronic financial services. In fact, his technology was utilized by a third of the population in Iraq.
The company attributes its success to unwavering commitment to addressing modern day technology solutions to Iraqi citizens and serves as the only democratic company in the country.

Influential philanthropic efforts
In addition to his business success, Bahaa is also deeply committed to giving back to the community. Bahaa is an active philanthropist and supports several causes including providing financial support to two orphanage institutions of 500 orphans as well as contributing funds towards a one-year training program that conditioned Iraqi specialists, in handling orphans with post-traumatic stress syndrome.
Bahaa aspires to continue to use the resources at his possession to make a difference in orphaned, children’s lives, to support and provide the right care and opportunities, as it can change the course of a child’s life.
